The Project

Work on this project included HVAC and lighting renovation for the University of Kentucky’s College of Education’s Dickey Hall building. Significant elements of the work included new water cooled variant refrigerant flow systems with a 3-pipe heat recovery and a 100% dedicated outdoor air system with steam heat coil providing treated outdoor air to the entire building. Dimmers and occupancy sensors were included in the lighting design. A wet sprinkler system was added to the entire building and fire alarm system upgrades were performed. A new generator provided emergency power for life safety and freeze prevention during cold temperatures. New BMS with DDC controls system were provided for the entire building to connect to the University of Kentucky’s Delta Room. New ceilings and painting were additionally included in the scope of work.
