The Project

This project included the construction of a new memorial structure to honor the legacy of the late J. Blaine Hudson.  Dr. Hudson served as the Dean for the College of Arts & Sciences and as a Professor in the Department of Pan-African Studies.  This project consisted of a custom fabricated cedar trellis structure, a polycarbonate roof system, cast-in-place concrete foundations, masonry seat walls with limestone caps, custom fabricated signed elements and connection brackets, decorative lighting and a porous unit paver system.  This project is located at Freedom Park at the University of Louisville’s Belknap Campus.
