Over two years of relentless hard work culminated in the completion of the new 79,000 square foot Perry Elementary for Jefferson County Public Schools. This new elementary school marked the first new JCPS school to open in Louisville’s west end in the 21st century.
Over 600 students attend the new Perry Elementary, many from Louisville’s California and Russell neighborhoods. The school’s connection to the YMCA (another Marrillia project) provides student access to facilities like a new gym and swimming pool.

Meeting Deadlines and Ready for Students
Marrillia was successful in meeting the tight deadline to welcome students for the first day of school. Under the leadership of FaLena Perry, Marrillia’s Vice President of Construction Louisville/Southern Indiana Office and Project Manager, Reed Rexroat the construction process was meticulously managed to ensure a successful completion. The project was designed by the Louisville based Luckett & Farley.
